The company was founded in the United States in 1927 by Edwad F. Heydt with the help of his father-in-law, Carleton Ellis. Carleton was a great inventor who created multiple products, including Fiberglass and Margarine. The Vapon company started off as a 1 product brand and as a dry hair cleaning shop. Hospitals were his biggest clientele at the time. They used his product to hold down medical equipments like hearing aids and others. As the wig and toupee industry grew, Vapon started adding to their product line, coming out with new Topstick tape. Its original purpose was to be the go to toupee tape. Over the years, it's usage grew as people from different industries started discovering the product. Nowadays, The Film & Television industry as well as the Fashion industry has been using Topsticks for so many different purposes. The hypoallergenic waterproof medical grade double-sided tape is the go to for the costume and the hair departments.
The 3" topsticks is the most popular Vapon products on film & tv sets. They are great to have in your kit as they are already cut to size. They come in a 1/2" or 1" width in packs of 50 or 250.
The topsticks rolls comes in a width of 1/2", 3/4", or 1" in rolls of 108" or 24 yard (864"). You can cut it into your own custom size in any length. This roll form makes for quick applications for lace wig, full wig, hair pieces, weave hair, etc.
